MME 50
ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONVERSION OR CONSTRUCTION
5 DAYS
This offering consists of the MME30 class one weekend and a second weekend offering the hands on lab work of MME 50. Essentially the first two and one half days of MME 50 is MME30 so we can split the class between two weekend sessions which can be taken up to 6 months apart.
During this intensive, five-day clinic you gain hands-on experience by installing the EV components in an actual vehicle. We will install one of our kits into a prepared vehicle, perhaps yours*? Or perhaps one just like the one you want to convert. • Course topics include: • Design, layout and fabrication of battery boxes • Design, layout and installation ofEV Components • Motor installation • Controllers, DC to DC Converters and Charger positioning and installation • Switches, Relays, fuses, contactors and other miscellaneous systems • Welding and fabrication • Proper wire termination techniques for use in automobiles
You will actually build an electric car from the ground up using one of our pre-fabricated kits; you will experience everything required to install all electronics in the car, program the various components to function properly and test drive an EV. Participants may also work on a scooter or other kit they purchase from either Make Mine Electric or Thunderstruck Motors. After completion, you will program, test drive, alter the programming and re-test to see the effect of changes on the performance of the scooter. Completed projects can be shipped home from our facility (additional shipping charges will apply). Shop fee and additional materials fee required if you chose to have your vehicle completed through our training program • Advance purchase and planning of desired dates required
