If you haven't heard of Led, where you been?
Led will have you laughing before he plucks a single string, and when he gets to playing, he'll have you crying with his tender rendition of Roberta Flack's 'Killing me softly', then on the edge of your seat with his antics and guitar tricks ala Uncle Fred Punahoa.
Led Kaapana's mastery of stringed instruments, `ukulele and autoharp, but particularly slack key guitar, and his extraordinary baritone and leo ki`eki`e (falsetto) voices, have made him a musical legend.
Led has been thrilling audiences for more than 40 years. With easy-going style and kolohe (rascal) charm, he has built a loyal corps of Led Heads from Brussels to his birthplace on the Big Island of Hawaii. Recognition by his peers earned Led Grammy nominations in 2006, 2007 and 2009.
Become a Led-Head on July 31st in Sebastopol.
Opening for Led tonight will be the Bay Area's own, Fran Guidry from Walnut Creek.
